Life as a physiotherapist in TAGS Physio & Rehab Specialists

Almost a month ago I was transferred back to the HQ. Partly my personal request, secondary to coincident (mind you, this is just my assumption). I actually don't know the (real) main reason for the transfer.

Cheras is as usual - busy (photo taken about 6-7pm). Yes we work around d the clock.

TPR had their facelift. We now have a glass door that seperates the dept other department. This marks our "territory" in a way HAHA

Here's one of the "Open Concept" treatment section. We have our DTS & modalities at other section.

Here's one of the consultation room for those who're on duty to consult. It's a daily duty  roster anyway. Here, we practise both - direct access, and referral. We do receive walk in patients as well and we treat any cases - no longer just spine and joint.

Here's our radiography dept- we have CT scan, dexa bone scan, MRI, X-Ray. Mind you I've received a lot of patients from other hosp during my 1 year in Hosp Sungai Long I still find the best imaging comes from our TAGS HQ! 😍

Honestly, even after working for a year plus, I still find working here stressful. It actually demands a lot from you in terms of theoretical basics & your physical strength. Like I said, we work round da' clock, it's either 8am-5pm/ 9am-6pm/ 10am-7pm and  once a week full shift 8am-7pm, with compulsory Saturday 8am-6pm.

To be honest it's really a good place to learn and to optimise your capacity. Here our performances are well-monitored as prime treatment is the only language we speak. No one (physios I mean) comes in here an Elite himself/ herself. But I really see good physios here and not-known yet. I've been across Malaysia to difference places for my clinical attachment and the physiotherapists here are actually very different and I dare to say, is comparable to other countries' practice. In terms of treatment, we are indeed ahead of others. I am grateful to be part of this, the change, and the better me.
